Founded in 1871 under the name “Correspondenz-Blatt für Schweizer Aerzte” and later known as “Schweizerische Medizinische Wochenschrift”, the Swiss Medical Weekly is a scientific publication with a long tradition. It accepts original and review articles from all fields of medicine under a rigorous single-blind peer review, and is a pioneer of Diamond Open Access — all articles are freely available without authors paying APCs.
